Today was the first real snow storm I have ever experienced and it was something else. I obviously have never seen anything of the sorts considering I am not even a year old. I just don't get why so many people act crazy during this type of weather. I watched out the window and I saw people sliding everywhere, horns beeping, flashing lights, and loud rumbles. My mom had a couple adventures on her way to work today. She leaves very early for work and it wasn't snowing when she left the house, it only takes her 10 minutes to get to work usually but today it took her over an hour. It started out no snowing and without traffic only to quickly turn to slammed brakes and a few flakes starting to fall. My mom is one of those people who when they are in traffic and there is an accident she likes to see what is going on, she thinks it makes it worth the wait in traffic to at least get to see some action, she is a weirdo. So as she approached the toll booth all these fire trucks were around, fire fighters were peering over the bridge with flashlights (because it is pitch black when she goes to work) and there was all sorts of chaos. Later at work she heard there had been a jumper. Then when she got to her parking garage, the alarm was going off at the building where the garage is. As she walked through the garage there was an announcement "this is not a test, this is an actual emergency, everyone must evacuate the building. Everyone out!" The fire trucks and police quickly pulled into the driveway of the building and the snow was coming down in a blizzard like fashion. It was never determined what the emergency was but our family is now all home safe and sound.
Today I have climbed the Christmas tree, I have a couple favorite ornaments that I like to play with. Other than that I have just watched the snow fall. I emailed my friend Casey the wonder dog, she and Billy went out on the sled today. I don't have a sled so I don't get to do fun stuff like that. Some other cats think I am strange because I like water and don't mind getting wet, so I figure the snow can't be much worse, just a little cold. My mom keeps saying she wants to get me a sweater but my dad says no, we'll see who wins this one.
